Voltage Regulator IC - 7805 and 7812

Is post me Regulator IC 78XX ki series ke bare me btaya hai sath hi 7805, 7812 ki working di gayi hai. 7805, 7812 etc. Ka shi use circuit diagram or figure ke madhyam se details me btya gga hai. Ye IC bhut hi useful or reliable hoti hai. Please read this post with attention.

IC 7805 -        Ye IC 3 terminals ki Semiconductor IC hoti hai                                  jiska   use Voltage ko Regulate karne mai kiya jata hai.Yah ek linear voltage regulator Integrated Circuit (IC) hai.


Jab Iske input me Unregistered power supply (DC) di jati hai to 7805 use regulate karke 5 Volt ki DC power supply me convert kar deta hai. Iska use electronics circuits me bahut kiya jata hai kuki yah output me constant voltage deti hai.

Iske Input me 7- 35 volt DC dene par use 5 volt mai convert kar deta hai or baki voltage ko Heat me convert kar deta hai. Heat nikalne (Dissipation) ke liye isme ek heat shink lga hota hai. Agag Voltage jyada use kar rhe ho ya iske achhe performance ke liye isme external Heat sink lgaya ja sakta hai.

(b) Regulated IC 78L05
78L05 and 7805 ek hi hai 78L05 package kam watt ka hota hai. Kiski current ratings 0.5 A ki hoti hai. Iska size 7805 se chhota hota hai.  Ham 7805 ki jgah 78L05 ka use kar sakte hai agar load kam power ka ho to. 

78L05 ke Terminals 7805 ke terminals ke opposite Name (Specification) ke hote hai matlb
       78L05 mai Pin 1 - Output, Pin 2 - Ground,  and Pin 3 - Input ki hoti hai. Jab ki 7805 mai theek iske ulta hota hai.

figure (c)  SMD regulator ka package hai ye bhi same upper diye Regulator hi hai, difference itna hai ki inka size or package alag hai. i.e inka electrical data to same hota hai pr mechanical data same nhi hota hai.



IC 7812 - 

                    Ye IC bhi 78XX ki family ki member hai. Iske 3 terminals hote hai. 
Jab iske input me Unregulated DC Power Supply di jati hai to 7812 use +12 V ke Regulated Power Supply mai convert kar deta hai. 
                  12 volt ki power supply bnane ke liye electronics circuits me iska use kafi kiya jata hai. Iski Dimensions: 10.4 x 4.6 x 9.15mm hoti hai.

Note - 78XX IC ko use karne par iske input ko iske Voltage rating range me se lowest voltage ko iske input me dena chiyye. Jyada voltage dene par Regulated voltage ke alwa shari voltage heat me convert ho jati hai jo ki waist chali jati he or IC bhi kafi heat ho jati hai. 



For example  - 7805 ke input mai + 15 volt ki supply di jati hai to yah 10 voltage (15 -5) ko heat me convert karta hai or 5 volt ko Output mai dega.yani ki 0.5 A Load current ke liye yah

              P =  VI
              P =  10 x 0.5  =    5 watt  (waist)  
      And 
              P =  5 x 0.5   =    2.5 watt (Use)
  
When input voltage is low 
Like  V input =   12 volt 
                    I   =   0.5 A 
             P =  (12 - 5 ) x 0.5 
             P =   3.5 watt   (waist) 

78XX  ki series me dusre regulator 7806, 7808, 7809, 7812, 7815, 7818, and 7824 ate hai Application ke according inka use kiya ja sakta hai.
