1. Overview
This Smart USB Power Trigger module allows you to extract selected high-power DC voltage rails—such as 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V—from any compatible USB-PD or Quick Charge (QC) Type-C power bank or wall charger.
Equipped with a bright graphical display and intelligent operating modes, this device lets you safely select voltage profiles, perform dynamic switching tests, and monitor live power metrics in real time.

3. Getting Started

Connect a USB Type-C cable from a compatible USB-PD/QC charger or power bank into the module's Type-C Input Port.
Upon plugging in, the OLED display turns ON instantly and shows the default boot status and initial voltage reading.
Step 2: Connecting Your Load
Connect your external project, circuit, or device to the module's Output Screw Terminals / Connectors.
4. Controls & Operating Instructions
A. Display Monitoring & Power Control
Live Readouts: The screen continuously updates real-time output Voltage ($V$) and load Current ($A$).
Display ON/OFF Switch:
Press the Display Push Button once to switch off the screen during extended tests to save energy or prevent glare.
Background Safety: Turning off the display does not cut power to your load. The device continues delivering output power and monitoring internal safety parameters in the background.
Press the button again to turn the screen back ON.
B. Mode Selection & Voltage Control
1. Auto Mode
Indicator: The AUTO MODE LED lights up.
Function: In this mode, the device automatically scans through all supported power profiles (5V $\rightarrow$ 9V $\rightarrow$ 12V $\rightarrow$ 15V $\rightarrow$ 20V) offered by the connected charger.
Best Used For: Testing charger capability, protocol detection, and dynamic switching stability.
2. Manual Mode
Indicator: The MANUAL MODE LED lights up.
Function: In this mode, you can manually step through specific voltage levels using the voltage selector buttons.
Status LEDs:
15V LED: Illuminates when the 15V rail is locked and active.
20V LED: Illuminates when the 20V rail is locked and active.
5. Step-by-Step Voltage Switching Test Procedure
To perform a complete voltage switching test on a USB charger:
Plug the module into the USB-PD charger via the Type-C port.
Press the Mode Selection Button until the Manual Mode LED illuminates.
Use the voltage switch button to step through each output level sequentially: 5V $\rightarrow$ 9V $\rightarrow$ 12V $\rightarrow$ 15V $\rightarrow$ 20V.
Observe the live display readout at each step to confirm the charger steps up its output rail accurately.
If a charger does not support a requested voltage (e.g., a 15V maximum power bank requested for 20V), the device will safely drop back to the highest available lower rail.
6. Safety & Best Practices
Verify Voltage Before Connecting Loads: Always check the selected output voltage on the display or status LEDs before connecting sensitive electronic devices to the output terminals.
Respect Current Limits: Ensure your connected load does not exceed the maximum current rating ($A$) specified by your USB charger.
Avoid Output Short Circuits: Ensure positive and negative output wire leads do not touch while power is active
